THE NATIONAL MONUMEN (MONAS)

Construction began in 1961 under direction of President Sukarno, Symbolising the fight for Indonesia. it is the national Monument of the Republic of Indonesia, Built to commemorate the struggle for Indonesia Independence.
Monas was opened to the public in 1975. it is topped by a flame covered with gold foil. the Monument and the Museum are open daily from 08:00 unit 16:00 Western Indonesia Time Throughout the week except for monday the Monument is closed.
A lift on the souther side carries visitors to the view platform at a height of 115 metres above ground level. and the capacity of the elevator is about 11 people. the top platform can accommodate about 50 people. you can get the ticket to observation deck is Rp. 10.000 (adults)

Also know as Selamat datang monument is a monument located in Central Jakarta, indonesia. Bunderan Hotel Indonesia is one of historic landmarks of jakarta, it is so named because of its proximity to Hotel Indonesia. The roundabout is strategicly located in the heart of Jakarta, right in the center of Jakarta's main avenue, Jalan M.H. Thamrin, on its intersection with Jalan Imam Bonjol, Jalan Sutan Syahrir and Jalan Kebon Kacang. At its completion, Hotel Indonesia and its roundabout is the gateway for visitors of Jakarta. Old Jakarta is small area in Jakarta, It is also known as Old Batavia, It spans 1.3 square kilometres of North Jakarta and West Jakarta.Kota is Indonesian word for "city", it was the reminiscent of the vicinity during colonial times in the 16th century that the city was only within Batavia walled compound (today Kota), while the surrounding areas was only kampung (villages), orchards, and ricefields. The largely Chinese downtown area of Glodok is a central part of Kota.

THOUSAND ISLAND
The Thousand Island are a chain of islands to the north of Jakarta's coast. It forms the only Regency of Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. It consists of a string of 110 islands, stretching 45 km north into the Java Sea at West Jakarta Bay and in fact north of Banten Province.
A decree states that 36 islands may be used for recreation. Of these 36 islands, only 13 islands are fully developed: 11 islands are homes to resorts and two islands are historic parks. Twenty-three islands are privately owned and are not open to the public. The rest of the islands are either uninhabited or support a fishing village.
You can get there using the boat from Marina Ancol or from the fish market fishing boats.

New Market are trading area centred on New Market Road, New Market Billage, District Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta. This shopping centre was founded in 1820, and is the oldest shopping mall in Jakarta.
